Jill and I had a great time on Utila and at Deep Blue Resort.  Both Jill and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the hospitality at Deep Blue Resort, but most of all we enjoyed seeing and snorkeling with the Whale Sharks.  As a matter of fact, we enjoyed it so much that we are putting together a return trip in 2010 during one of the Whale Shark Research Project Weeks, April 10-17, 2010.

Join Jill and I for a week of diving and snorkeling with the Whale Sharks.  What makes this so interesting is that in the evenings one of the researchers gives a talk on Whale Sharks research so not only will it be another fun week, but also a very educational week.

As there are only 10 available spaces (5 rooms) this is not a club sponsored trip and is being organized by Jill and I.  The resort limits the number of guest to 12 during these weeks as the other rooms are used by researchers and video/photography people.
 

1.  A deposit of $400 will guarantee your spot for this week of diving and Whale Shark education.  Fifty percent of the deposit is refundable if trip is cancelled no less than 180 days prior to departure.

2.  Prefered payment schedule:  Minimum payments of $375 due by 28 February 2009, 31 May 2009 and 31 August 2009.  Balance of $300 would be due by 1 November 2009. Other arrangements are possible.

3.  You are responsible for obtaining your own round trip airfare to Utila. This will allow those of you who want to use miles to do so and/or gives you plenty of time to secure the best airfare.  If you need assistance in obtaining transportation from San Pedro Sula or Roatan, please let me know.  There are several alternate ways of getting to Utila from the Honduran mainland or Roatan of which more information can be provided.

4.  If you sign up as a single and do not have a roommate, you must be prepared to pay the single occupancy price if you cannot find yourself a roommate or if there is not another single who signs up looking for a roommate.
